Ars Vive Symphony Orchestra
Twice named professional "Orchestra of the Year" by the Illinois Council of Orchestras, Ars Viva is distinguished by performances of very high quality. Led by music director Alan Heatherington, Ars Viva is composed of many of the finest players in the Chicago area, including members of the world-renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra. This excellent orchestra performs five concerts a year on Sunday afternoons at the North Shore Center for Performing Arts in Skokie, and, occasionally, also in Evanston. Baha'i House of Worship
One of only seven in the world and the only one in North America, the Baha'i House of Worship is the largest and the oldest surviving Bahá'í Temple. Set amidst 32.5 acres of pristine prairie, the Evelyn Pease Tyner Interpretive Center serves as both gateway and guide to the Air Station Prairie -- and as an example of how man made structures can harmonize with the environment. Grosse Point Lighthouse
Built by the United States Government in 1873 as the lead lighthouse marking the approach to Chicago after several shipwrecks demonstrated its need. In 1999, Grosse Point Lighthouse was designated a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service the first lighthouse on the Great Lakes to carry that status. This new center is a 65,000 square-foot building designed by renowned architect Stanley Tigerman. The Glen Club Golf Course

The Grove

Tower Road Beach
Beat the heat during the summer and Tower Rd., Beach. The beach is operated by the Winnetka Park District from mid-June through Labor Day. Amenities include: swimming beach, beach house equipped with restroom, showers, vending machines, concessions, sand volleyball court, playground, wet sand play area complete with spray pole, boardwalk extending from parking lot to beach house, two parking lots, walkway from top of bluff to beach and picnic shelter at the top of bluff. Daily admission and season passes are available.

Wagner Farm
A visit to Wagner Farm affords you the opportunity to take part in and experience firsthand the workings of a genuine American farm. Wagner Farm is an 18.6 acre farm preserved for the educational and recreational enjoyment for all. See how bread was made in a wood cook stove, hear the rooster marking time with his crow or milk one of the farm's many cows. Explore the world of agriculture and rural life as it existed in 1920-1950's.

Winnetka Golf Club
Providing golfing pleasure for players of all skill levels and interest. The 18-hole course is a challenging layout with a par of 71. It can play to a length of 6,517 yards. The par 3 course is classically designed to allow use of almost all clubs in your bag. The clubhouse houses a modern Pro Shop stocked with the latest equipment with knowledgeable professional staff available for assistance.

Winnetka Platform Tennis Facility and Paddle Hut
Play platform tennis in Winnetka! Platform Tennis also known as paddle tennis is played outdoors in fall, winter and spring. The sport has many advantages: it's easy to learn the skills, it's great exercise, it's a social sport, and it can be enjoyed by players of any age or ability. The Winnetka Park District operates one of the only public facilities in the Midwest. Six courts in top condition and are complemented by a state-of-the-art hut.

Writers' Theatre
